My favorite time of the day is the hour or so before Ryan goes to sleep. Once we've finished eating dinner (or at least Ryan has), we migrate upstairs to Ryan's room to get him ready for bed.
There's something about this time that feels so routine and calm. Ryan is free to roam and play, while Michael and I sit on the floor and simply enjoy being with one another. There are no phones or computers, and sometimes Michael plays the guitar. Ryan picks books from the bookshelf and scoots into one of our laps, he shares his toys and he climbs all over us. He drinks some milk, we change his clothes, and he 'brushes' his teeth.
This hour is always so peaceful, and it is in this time that everything feels right with the world.
