Somehow in the last few weeks Ryan has mastered control over the word "need." Here’s how it goes. In the morning he wakes and says, “I need chocolate.” Dream on, little guy. When walking past a pile of rocks, “I need that rock, and that rock,” and bends down to load up his pockets. Or “I need apple juice and water. Two!” And holds up two fingers, because of course, two drinks at once is exactly what he needs. When Connor is playing with a specific tractor, he says, "I need that tractor!" And at bedtime, he declares, “I need mama,” and demands that I put him to bed. Hearing "need" so often has me thinking about what I need, and guess what? I need Friday. TGIF.
