I love taking time to capture photos of our family; it seems like every day the dynamics of our family change, even if only slightly. The boys change, develop physically, mentally, emotionally; Michael and I change too, as individuals, as a husband and wife, and as parents. We live, we make mistakes, we grow, we change, and we learn how to love, better each day. This current season of pregnancy, with all of us eagerly anticipating the arrival of Jack, is uniquely special—so with a massive 39 week bump, we recently headed to Huntley Meadows, a favorite local nature preserve, to photograph this phase of our family.
Pregnancy is such a time of anticipation; my body grows, the baby's movements combined with aches and pains, are a constant reminder of the changes ahead. It's also a time of patience and trust; trusting that the baby will be healthy, that his arrival will happen when and as it should, and while also trusting that we are ready for this next life step as parents and a family. This pregnancy has been sweet too, because of the excitement that both boys share about Jack joining our family, how they feel my belly, and then whisper to him how much they love him.
Many thanks to Rebecca Sable Photography for these magical photos of our family!
